The maps and routes above were developed by the Adventure Cycling Association. As you roll over the map you may click anywhere to see more detail. This route from Yorktown, VA to Astoria, OR is considered the most established cross country bike route in America. It was created in 1976 in celebration of the country's bicentennial. I will not be following the route exactly as mapped. See my list of farms that I plan to visit for a more detailed list of small towns I will be passing through.
If you have friends or family in or near any of the communities I will be travelling through, please let me know. I would like to have as much information as possible about these communities, local press outlets, and people and areas of interest.
